Established in 1993 by the firm’s female attorneys, the
Patton Boggs Women’s Forum allows female professionals at the firm to share ideas and discover new ways of enhancing their communication. The Women’s Forum meets regularly to discuss common issues, to share professional and business development strategies, and to encourage mentoring and personal relationships. Over the years, the Women’s Forum has proposed various policies, such as expanded parental leave, and alternative work schedules.
Today, the Women’s Forum continues its mission of bringing women legal professionals together to share experiences and business development opportunities, holding monthly in-house lunches on topics of particular interest, often with guest speakers. The Managing Partner meets quarterly with the Women’s Forum in an informal session designed to keep channels of communication open. In addition to these regular meetings, each year the Forum presents a special program for female clients and friends of the firm. These annual events have featured renowned keynote speakers and interactive workshops.
